Getting started
- Choose a working folder. Authorize access through the macOS file picker. The suggested folder is aioffice in Documents.
- Open or create a file. Work with documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDFs, Markdown or HTML. Keep backups of important files.
- Add AI if you want it. No iOffice account is required. Provide your own API key, provider, model and any required base URL. Third-party API charges may apply.
What to include in a report
- Your iOffice and macOS versions.
- Steps to reproduce, the expected result and what happened.
- A redacted screenshot, error message and file format.
- For AI issues: the provider, model and error code.
Frequently asked questions
Can I edit files without signing in or configuring AI?
Yes. No iOffice account is required. Supported local editing features work independently. AI conversations, generation and network search require the appropriate third-party service configuration and an internet connection.
Why am I asked for file access?
The Mac App Store sandbox permits access to the app container and files or folders you authorize. Select the containing folder again through the app’s file picker if needed. Moving files, disconnecting a drive or revoking system permissions may require new authorization.
How can I troubleshoot an AI connection?
Check the provider, model, base URL and API key, and confirm that your account has access and quota. Custom endpoints also need the correct protocol. Remote endpoints should use HTTPS. Share the error code with support, never the key.
What is sent when I use AI?
Depending on the operation, requests can include your prompt, conversation context, selections or document excerpts, and relevant images, audio, video or attachments. Search sends queries; semantic reranking may send candidate file names, folder names and excerpts. Read the privacy policy before choosing a recipient.
Why can OCR be inaccurate or leave an image?
Local OCR uses macOS recognition capabilities. Scan quality, language, rotation and page content affect results. Failed or uncertain recognition may preserve the page as an image. Check the output and keep the original.
How do I stop using the app or request deletion?
You manage local files and app data on your device. Uninstalling may leave documents, caches or configuration behind. Stop initiating AI operations to stop new related requests. Data already received by an external provider is subject to its policy. Contact js.appssup2026@outlook.com for support-message deletion or local cleanup guidance.
