1. Scope and contact
This policy covers the iOffice macOS app and its support website. The provider is the developer identified on the app’s store product page (“we” or “us”). Contact js.appssup2026@outlook.com for support, privacy questions or personal-data requests. External services you choose are also governed by their own policies.
2. Local files and app data
iOffice primarily opens, edits and saves documents on your device. We do not operate an iOffice cloud drive that automatically receives or synchronizes all local documents, and no iOffice account is required.
- The app may store documents, recovery data, recent items, favorites, folder-access records, preferences, and conversations or work records locally.
- Local search may create an index containing file names, paths and document text or excerpts.
- macOS sandbox access is managed through system pickers and settings. The app retains authorization records needed to restore access.
- iCloud Drive, network storage, backups or other synchronization tools you choose may separately transmit files under their providers’ policies.
3. API keys and configuration
AI, search, image-generation or media services generally use credentials you provide. The macOS app uses system-supported encryption to protect saved API settings. Relevant configuration and keys are read into memory and supplied to the configured recipient for authentication when needed. Internal processing tasks may also receive necessary configuration.
Encrypted storage does not mean a key never leaves your device: API authentication sends the key or related authentication information to the chosen service. Do not send keys to an untrusted custom endpoint or include them in support email.
4. AI, search and network requests
Configuring or using connection tests, AI chat, generation, analysis, search, reranking or related tools may send data to the relevant services. The scope depends on your operation, configuration, attachments and tool calls.
| Operation | Data that may be sent | Recipient |
|---|---|---|
| AI chat, editing and generation | Prompts, context, document selections or content, and attached files, images, audio or video | Your configured model or media service, including a custom base URL |
| Web or image search | Queries, possibly generated by AI from your conversation or document | The search service and any fallback service actually invoked |
| Semantic reranking of local results | Query, candidate file names, folder names and excerpts | The reranking service you enable |
| Connection tests or model lists | Authentication, model identifiers and test requests | The relevant model service |
Recipients also receive the IP address and transport information needed for the connection. They may process data in other countries and retain, analyze or use requests under their own policies and account settings. Training use, retention and deletion vary by provider; we cannot make a single promise on their behalf.
In-app disclosures and this policy help explain recipients and scope. Confirm that you have permission to share the content and avoid unnecessary sensitive information. Stopping use prevents new related operations; closing settings cannot retract a request already sent.
5. Preview and local processing
Device-based OCR can run locally without sending page images to an AI service. If you separately use AI on the recognized content, the network rules above apply.
HTML previews, external links and remote document resources may load websites, scripts, fonts, images or other assets. These are separate from AI requests and may disclose your IP address and request information to those sites. Do not treat untrusted HTML or links as fully offline content.
6. Device permissions
- Files and folders: opening, editing, saving, exporting and indexing the files you authorize.
- Microphone: presentation narration and similar features when you use them and grant system permission. Saved recordings can become part of a document.
- Screen recording: capture can take place only when you choose a feature that needs it and grant the applicable system permission.
- This version does not require camera, contacts or location access for ordinary document editing.
Manage applicable permissions in macOS System Settings → Privacy & Security. Revocation may affect the related feature but does not delete files already saved.
7. Analytics, advertising and hosting
The iOffice version covered by this policy does not send app-usage analytics, provide advertising tracking, or sell local documents or API keys.
This support website is static. It includes no advertising or visitor-analytics scripts, account system, upload form or payment feature, and does not actively use browser storage for cross-site tracking. It is hosted on Cloudflare, which may process IP addresses, request times, browser information and security logs, or set necessary security cookies according to its configuration. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
8. Support communications
When you email support, we receive your address, message and attachments you choose to provide. We use them to respond, troubleshoot and handle privacy requests. Email providers also process these communications. Send only a redacted, minimal reproduction; do not send keys, passwords or unnecessary personal, financial, health or confidential information.
Using the app does not automatically give us access to files on your device. If a sample is needed, we will explain why and let you decide whether to provide it.
9. Retention and deletion
Documents, settings, indexes, caches and work records on your device generally remain until you delete, reset or clear them, or the system removes them under its applicable mechanisms. Uninstalling does not guarantee removal of separately saved files or all settings. Contact support for cleanup guidance for your version, and back up files before deleting anything.
We retain support messages only as needed to resolve requests, maintain necessary correspondence, meet legal obligations or handle disputes. Personal information no longer needed should be deleted or de-identified. Website security logs and AI request retention depend on the relevant provider’s actual configuration and policy. A request to us does not automatically delete data independently held by another provider.
10. Choices and rights
You can choose not to configure or use AI. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or object to processing of personal information we control. Email js.appssup2026@outlook.com with your request and relevant email address; do not attach unrelated identity documents. We will respond within applicable legal deadlines and verify identity only when necessary.
We can handle only support or website data we actually control. You manage local data, and independent providers handle their own records. Stop new AI operations, manage system permissions, and contact us for guidance on removing local service configuration and authorization records.
11. Children, security and changes
iOffice is a general productivity tool and is not specifically directed at children. Minors should use age-appropriate third-party services with a guardian’s guidance. Contact us if you believe a child supplied personal information through support that should not be retained.
We use safeguards appropriate to the features, but storage, email and network transmission cannot be guaranteed absolutely secure. Updates appear here with a new date; material changes will be communicated appropriately. A page update does not replace additional consent when that is required for a new purpose.
